Disney: Day 7
Heading Home

Outfits:
Green and Gold

When we travel I always try to dress us in similar colors so everyone is easy to spot.

We slept in a little and then got some breakfast at the resort.  We still had 6 quick service meals and some snacks left so we used 2 meals and a couple of snacks for breakfast and shared.  You could get muffins or bagels as a snack.  We are not really big breakfast eaters so this was more than enough.  Then we headed back to shower and finish packing.  Our flight was not until 4:00 so we were in no rush.  The kids really loved our room and were super sad to leave.

The beds had fireworks and lights!  The maids would put all their toys on the bed each day - so cute!

The resort will hold your luggage for you so we dropped it off and went inside to get some lunch.  Since each meal comes with a dessert, we got some to go to enjoy on the plane because we kind of had a long trek back home.

I loved that there were Christmas trees everywhere.  My favorite time of the year!

We had some time at the airport before our flight so the kids looked around the gift shops.

Once we were on our flight, I asked them how they felt about leaving Disney and this is what I got.

They kept saying they wanted to stay at Disney World forever!  I am there with ya kids!  But once the plane took off they quickly passed out!  Haha!

We flew from Orlando to San Antonio and had a small 25 min layover without having to change planes.  There was another family with us and we all just stayed on the plane.  Funny enough, they live in McKinney too and had been on a Disney Cruise.  We were in the middle of the plane for the first flight but moved to the front so we could be the first ones off.  The pilots and flight attendants were incredibly nice and invited the kids to see the cockpit.

Great way to spend a little plane layover.  :)

My parents were picking us up from the airport.  The kids hailing Nana and Pa like a cab.  :)

We made it home with a few snacks and the kids loved that they got to enjoy them the next few days and pretend they were still at Disney World.

The whole trip was absolutely magical!  I love that we got 7 days just the 4 of us making amazing memories!  We are going to make it a priority to take a vacation as a family once a year!

Disney: Day 6
Magic Kingdom
Park Hours: 9:00-7:00

Outfits:
Blue, Gray, White, Princess

Today was our final day at Disney World.  Our other days were pretty planned so we decided today would be all about what the kids wanted to do, of course that meant we were kind of all over the place but with it being our last day we just went with the flow.  Lily still wanted to meet Rapunzel and the boys wanted to do Space Mountain again so we split up first thing so we could make sure we got them done because we didn't have Fast Passes for either.  We got to the park just before 9:00 and as we walked down Main Street there were "cast members" handing out buttons.  We didn't get them buttons the first day so we stopped and got "My 1st Visit"  buttons for the kids.  By the time we got to Rapunzel the wait time was already 30 mins.  She was one of the most important characters to Lily.  Tangled came out just before Lily was born and has been one of her favorite movies.  Cinderella is in the hall with Rapunzel (technically I think Rapunzel is with Cinderella) so you get to meet both at the same time.

Best. Day. Ever!

While we were waiting in line, Brett texted to ask if we were finished.  We weren't so the boys decided they were going to ride Space Mountain as many times as they could.  When we finished, I texted Brett and he said Luke decided that he wanted to ride it 10 times so they were going to keep going.  The first few times they got on the wait was only about 5 mins but by the 6th time they had to wait about 20 mins.  They took some super silly photos.  :)

Luke was so excited that he got to ride it 10 times during the trip!  Lily and I rode Prince Charming's Carousel while we waited and the evil Stepmother and sisters got on with us.  They were super silly but Lily was totally terrified and refused to go near them!

We were still waiting on the boys to be done with Space Mountain so we headed for Dumbo.  Then we saw that Minnie Mouse and Daisy were at the big top so we stopped for some more signatures.

And ... they were still not done at Space Mountain so we stopped at The Barnstormer and rode it a couple of times before they finally arrived.

The kids really wanted to do Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain so we hoped on the train to ride back over to Frontierland.

It was time for lunch so we rode the train back to Fantasyland because we wanted to try to eat at Be Our Guest Restaurant.  On our way we found Gaston who was hilariously conceited.  :)  The kids thought he was a lot of fun.

Brett got his picture arm wrestling Gaston.

Around the corner from Gaston was the restaurant but when we went to check in they said they were full for the day.  I didn't think you needed reservations for this restaurant but then I looked at the map and it has an "R" by it indicating that reservations are recommended.  We were a little bummed but we ended up eating at Pinocchio Village Haus which was yummy.  While we ate I looked at my phone to see if there were any characters we hadn't seen close and found Peter Pan.  Luke really wanted to meet him but when we got there they said the line was closed and to come back in 15 mins. We had a Fast Pass for Seven Dwarf Mine Train so we ran back to it.

Then we ran back to Peter Pan to try to get in line before he closed.  Lily freaked out because she wanted to do the tea cups and I tried to convince her to meet Peter first because he was going to leave so she threw a pretty epic fit while Luke and Brett met Peter Pan.  Y'all!!  He was by far the BEST character we met the whole trip!  He is a must visit in my books!  He saw Luke's "My 1st Visit"  button and made his experience super special!  Luke was completely star struck!

Meanwhile...

She finally calmed down about the time that Luke was done talking to Peter Pan so I told her that we were going to go to the tea pots but that Luke would get to ride it an extra time because she threw a fit.  They rode it at least 5 times in a row, I peaced out after the second one.  :)  Then she waited for Luke to get his extra turn and we talked about how throwing a fit was not ok.  I figured we did pretty well this week to only have one crazy fit!

Then it was back to the train because the kids wanted to do Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean again.

Brett got Lily to raise her hands on Big Thunder Mountain.  :)

Splash Mountain got us again!

They loved the pirates

The kids spent the rest of their money in the pirates gift shop.  They each got a treasure map and coins and Luke got a set of metal keys and a pirate hat.

At this point we were ready for another snack so we grabbed another Mickey ice cream and decided to walk the park a little and just stop when we found something.

Rapunzel's tower

Beautiful

We stopped to see Winnie the Pooh and friends at the Hundred Acre Woods.

Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin

It was getting close to closing time so we headed back to the front and took some "Goodbye Disney" pics

There was another Christmas Party that night so just after we took this picture they started a Christmas celebration where it snowed on Main Street!  It was probably the most beautiful way to close our last day at the park!

We had dinner reservations at 8:00 at 'Ohana in the Polynesian Resort so we walked to a boat that we thought would be a fun way to travel to dinner.  The Polynesian Resort was super fun!

I would highly recommend getting reservations at 'Ohana.  The atmosphere was beautiful and they did dances and fun things around the restaurant and taught you about the culture.  Plus the food was delicious, even my picky kids enjoyed it!

We learned to hula

My sweet, sweet boy!

We were sitting and enjoying dessert when they turned the lights down in the restaurant and turned the music off and started playing the music from the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular.  We were right by the window so we looked out to the castle and we got to watch the fireworks show from dinner!!  I thought it snowing on us as we left the park was magical but we could not have had a better view and send off from Disney than watching the fireworks from dinner!  I had held back my tears all week but I cried sitting there holding my two beautiful children in my lap, just enjoying the moment and their joy!

Lily quickly passed out after the fireworks show.  :)

It was a beautiful conclusion to a beautiful vacation!
